Its Me!

Crochet: a craft with meaning

May 19, 2020

You read about my crafts pretty often but I figured it was time to share a craft dear to my heart and one most didn’t know I loved.

So some friends and I decided to each share a craft that makes us happy! You can find the links to their posts at the bottom of this post.

My craft: Crochet

Crochet is something I taught myself at a really young age. It all started with some friendship bracelets and lead into endless creations and a lifelong hobby.

It became my stress relief, time filler, distraction, go-to gifts, shop, and so much more.

Over the years I’ve learned more and more. I made tons of beautiful crochet gifts and I made my kids their own baby blankets.

My kids still use their blankets all the time. I’ll be making a few more for them to fit their age and size.

Crochet is something I’ve taught others and can’t wait to teach my kids.

I can sit and work on a project for hours. Although it has gotten x100 harder now that I have two young children. I’m trying to find a way to let them have fun but still keep my project same.

I have a long list of hobbies and crafts. This is one of my favorite and one if my first. I love the meaning behind it.

Each completed project was made by me. Made with love and tiny imperfections.

“I get some peace of mind and you get a comfortable and thoughtful gift!”

Who doesn’t love a handmade gift? Especially one you can wear or snuggle.

I probably rambled on but this made me realize how much I miss working on these projects daily. I’ll be starting again sometime soon.

Do you have a favorite hobby or craft?

Thank you for reading about my meaningful craft. I hope you enjoyed it.
